Hello My Little one,

Earlier this afternoon, I dressed you up in a red jumper skirt with a flowery shirt under it.  You were jumpy and giddy… so excited to go out with me.  Just when you discovered how pretty your dress was, you said something really amusing… tapping your chest, you said.. “Ea, girl”.  Although to everyone listening it sounded like “Eeayah, grerl”.  Ahaha it’s amusing because no one taught you that.  But there was one time I showed you a picture of a little girl wearing a similar dress, but that was only once.  I just feel warm inside knowing that you my little one are starting to have a sense of identity young as you are.  I”ll be here to watch you grow and help you see what beauty God has created in you.  I’m excited to see the woman you will become.  I love you for always.

Just a little list to account all of what I missed writing here:

- I took my 5th airplane ride last May 6th.  We were off to Davao for a family gathering and to attend Auntie Belle’s wedding.  We stayed there for two fun weeks :)   Jet and I had heaps of fun playing and learning with our cousins.  I was the only girl most of the time there… Ate Kareze visited and played with me occasionally but my boy cousins – Kuya Koy, Oshie, Gabbie and Jarred were there at Lola’s house the whole time, they were my resident playmates.  We went to Samal beach and to People’s Park.  Of things we missed bringing – Camera! so sorry, no documents to prove the grand vacation.

- It’s fun to count 1 through 10!  Mom taught me 1 to 3.  Auntie Grace taught me how to put it together with 4 and 5.. until 10.  To my mom’s ears, here’s how I sound: Huwaaan..chooo…fweee…fo…fai…tis…eben…et…nay…teh!

- A – /Ey!/ the name I call all letters with after Auntie Grace showed starfall.com.  I can’t read words yet but I am good with pictures!  Try me… :)

- It’s fun having a playmate and a brother in one.  Jet and I enjoy a lot chasing each other and just laughing.  I’ll show some videos soon :)

Jethro's First Birthday

Jethro's First Birthday

After a long time of waiting, my little brother finally turned one last 21st of March.  We celebrated it by the pool in Country Village Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

It was an Jet Plane themed party.  The cake looked like an airport with a Jet taking off and car cup cakes around it.  The games were Jet powered too!  I’ll share the games on my next posts so that mums who would like to do the same theme for parties will have an idea.  First birthdays should be a blast than other birthdays, don’t you think?

Darn Hacker

This site was attacked by some malicious hacker yesterday.  My mom was about to delete the whole site and start all over again just to get rid of that ugly hacker face.  Thankfully, after a few look ups and check ups, mama was able to figure it out all by herself and restored the site back on.  Whew!  Goodbye pretty pink-purple butterfly theme..  Now I have to live with the default until we can make a new, clean one.

How To Remove Chewing Gum from Hair

peanut-butter

peanut butter yum!

Active toddlers like me can pick up chewing gum from under a table, from the trash bin or steal it from someone else’ mouth.  The soft gummy texture is just so wonderful to the feel that I might not be able to to help but stick it on my lovely locks.  If that ever happens to your little one, removing chewing gum by trimming of the hair should be the last resort.  But how not to panic?  By knowing what to do of course.  Here’s how:  Get a jar of peanut butter.  Rub heaps of it around the gum, mash and mash some more.  Then, using a wide-tooth comb, gently comb the gum out.  Finish with the baby’s favorite shampoo.

Why this works?  Because the sugar and the oil from the peanut butter breaks the gum’s cohesiveness off.  It’s chemistry I suppose.

After two years and two months, I finally got my first hair cut :)   My mama has been contemplating on this crime for weeks and weeks but was putting it off thinking she should get a good pair of hair scissors first.  She kept on forgetting to buy one so she used the one for paper sheets.  Mama kept a bunch of strands for her baby scrapbook.

I’ll post a photo of it in a little while.  I think my hair is lovely :)
